Why choose our solid board sheets?

As an integrated solution provider, we support our customers from the very first beginning and know how to use the advantages of solid board in a superior way.

Composition of solid board

Solid board consists of several layers of grey board that have been made from recycled paper and cardboard. A sheet of brown or white paper is glued to the top and bottom, which ensures that solid board retains its strength in moist conditions for a longer period of time.

In order to increase the moisture resistance of the board, a PE coating can be applied.

A water resistant form of solid board is also available. An additive in the grey layer prevents water from entering the board. This is called Sapino®. Sapino® board always has a PE coating finish.

Characteristics of solid board

Multilayer board made from recovered fibres, laminated on one or two sides, mostly cut in sheets.

Board weight between 400 and 1300 gr/m2

Sold in sheets (94%) and reels (6%)

Perfect for complex packaging designs with high converting speed due to highly efficient folding and scoring.

Inline lamination imparts specific properties to the board such as strength, stiffness, food contact potential, water resistance, excellent printability and colour.

Solid Board is more compact than corrugated board.
